The Process

One of my strengths is that I follow a clear process in creating a design with clients. A clear and thoughtful design process is key to a positive, efficient and productive project. For most design projects, I will use most of these steps, in this order, to complete your project. Some projects, (such as the creation of a marketing plan, a public opinion survey) may require a modified approach.

1. Initial discussion with client regarding scope of work, requirements, parameters and timeframe
2. Delivery of project quote and signing of contract for work
3. Detailed discussion of project with client, review of requirements
4. Delivery of detailed project plan
5. Development of multiple design concepts
6. Client review of concepts and selection of design direction
7. Implement selected design
8. Client reviews final design
9. Project is completed and materials delivered

Communication

My background in education and public relations has given me effective communication skills. Whether you are a local, out-of-state or international client, you and I will have clear communication at every step of the process. Communication tools I utilize include:

Fees & Timeframe

I currently charge a $50/hour design fee for most projects. I am also willing to negotiate an all-inclusive fee for larger projects. To get a rough sense on cost, here are some time estimations for common design projects:

• company logo: 8-10 hours
• tri-fold brochure: 5 hours
• custom font: 40-60 hours
• t-shirt design: 2-4 hours
• 10-minute video presentation: 10-15 hours
• animated web graphic: 2-4 hours

After having a in-depth conversation about your needs, I will provide a fee estimate that you will find very reasonable. Please note that travel and material costs may factor into your design project.
