David Occhino Design font software is installed using the same procedures for any standard TrueType, PostScript (Type 1) or OpenType font software. Please consult your computer operating systems support documentation for additional information if needed.
Installing font software on Windows™ Vista, Windows™7, Windows™8
1) Unzip the file.
A) Right-click on the ZIP file and choose Extract All.
B) Click Next.
C) Click Next again.
D) Click Finish.
Note: The files within the ZIP file should be ready for installation. To confirm that they have been extracted, note that the icons on the font files within the uncompressed folder have changed after the extraction process.
2) Install the font.
A) Open the uncompressed folder contained the font software.
B) Right-click on a font you wish to install.
C) A Windows Font Installer window will open and our font software will be copied into the Windows font folder on your computer.
D) Repeat Steps 2A-2D for each font you wish to install
Important: If the "Install" option mentioned in Step B below is not available when you attempt to install the font, it means that the font file(s) were not uncompressed by your computer properly. To be sure that the font files have been uncompressed, drag the font files from the ZIP folder into your operating system Desktop. After doing this, right-click on the font file and select "Install." If this procedure still does not allow you to install our font software, try following the installation steps for "Windows XP" shown below.
Installing font software on Windows™ XP
1) Unzip (decompress) the file.
A) Double-click the zipped file.
B) In the window that opens, click Extract all files.
C) The Extraction Wizard opens. Click Next.
D) In the Select a Destination panel, select the location where you want the folder to be placed, for example, the Desktop. Click Next.
E) In the Extraction Complete panel, select Show extracted files. Check Finish. The unzipped files appear in a new window.
F) Use the contents of the zipped file as instructed in the next section.
2) Install the font.
A) Choose Start: Control Panel.
B) Double-click the Fonts folder.
C) Choose File: Install New Font.
D) Locate the fonts you want to install.
• In the Drives list, select the drive and the folder containing the fonts you want to install.
• In the Folders list, select a folder that contains the fonts you want to install. The fonts in the folder appear under List of Fonts.
E) Select the fonts to install. To select more than one font, hold down the control key and click each font.
F) To copy the fonts to the Fonts folder, make sure the Copy fonts to the Fonts folder check box is selected.
Note: If installing fonts from a floppy disk or a CD-ROM, you should make sure this check box is selected. Otherwise, to use the fonts in your applications, you must always keep the disk in the disk drive.
G) Click OK to install the fonts.
Installing font software on Macintosh™ OS X
1) Unzip (decompress) the file.
A) Double-click on the ZIP file and the file will decompress automatically. A folder will appear with a name similar to the ZIP file.
B) Put the ZIP file in the Trash. It is no longer needed.
2) Install the font.
A) Open the new font folder that was created to see the font software inside.
B) Double-click the icon of a font file you want to A FontBook preview window will open and you will see a Font Book preview window that will display a preview of the font.
C) Click Install Font.
D) The Font Book application will open and show a preview of the font.
E) Quit the Font Book application.
F) The font is now installed and can be used in other programs such as Word.
G) Repeat Steps 2A-2F for each font you wish to install.
