In
1982, a custom typeface, "World Bold," was developed by Deborah Lord for use on signage in a theme park in Orlando, Florida. This font
is futuristic yet graceful and makes a refreshing alternative to typefaces
such as Handel Gothic. The font has been completely re-designed in
version 2.0, and includes lowercase letters and a complete character
set.
This typeface is based on a design by Deborah Lord with digitization
and additional characters by David Occhino. First appearing in 1997, World was updated in May 2008.
