- In 1982, a custom typeface, "World Bold," was developed by Deborah Lord for use on signage in the new EPCOT Center theme park in Walt Disney World. This EPCOT font is futuristic yet graceful and makes a refreshing alternative to typefaces such as Handel Gothic. The font has been completely redesigned in version 2.0, and includes lowercase letters and a complete character set. This typeface is based on a design by Deborah Lord with digitization and additional characters by David Occhino.
